This Privacy Policy explains how GOVAR SPEAKING PRACTICE CLUB INC. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Skazy (“Skazy” or the “App”).

By using Skazy, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

1. Age Requirement

Skazy is intended for users aged 13 and older.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through Skazy, contact us at [email protected]. We will investigate and delete the information where required.

Users under the age of legal majority in their country should use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Information We Collect

Skazy may collect and process the following categories of information:

Account and technical identifiers:

  • an anonymous Firebase user identifier;
  • device and operating-system information;
  • app version, language and general technical information;
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging token used to deliver notifications;
  • subscription status and purchase-related identifiers.

Learning information:

  • selected interface language;
  • English proficiency level;
  • selected learning topics;
  • vocabulary and saved words;
  • learning progress;
  • session history;
  • answers and text submitted during learning exercises.

Usage and analytics information:

  • screens and features used;
  • onboarding and learning events;
  • session completion events;
  • app performance and diagnostic information;
  • approximate technical information supplied by analytics providers.

Skazy does not require users to provide their name, username, postal address, or email address to create an account.

3. Microphone and Speech Recognition

Skazy requests microphone access for pronunciation and speaking exercises.

Audio may be processed on the device or by the speech-recognition services provided by the operating system, including Apple Speech or Google speech-recognition services. Processing depends on the device, operating system, language, and user settings.

Skazy does not intentionally store raw microphone recordings in its own database. Apple or Google may process speech data according to their respective privacy policies.

You can deny or revoke microphone permission in your device settings. Some speaking features may not work without microphone access.

4. AI-Powered Features

Skazy uses artificial intelligence to generate vocabulary exercises, questions, explanations, corrections, translations, and feedback.

Text submitted during a learning session may be transmitted to our server infrastructure and AI service providers for processing. This may include:

  • the target word;
  • selected language and proficiency level;
  • learning topic;
  • written or transcribed answers;
  • conversation context required to generate the next response.

Do not submit sensitive personal information in your answers.

We use this information to provide the requested learning functionality, maintain session context, prevent abuse, and improve service reliability.

5. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • provide vocabulary-learning and speaking features;
  • personalize exercises according to language and proficiency level;
  • save learning progress and selected words;
  • generate AI-powered questions, translations, and feedback;
  • authenticate users anonymously;
  • process and restore purchases;
  • determine access to premium features;
  • send service and learning notifications when permitted;
  • measure feature usage and app performance;
  • diagnose technical problems;
  • protect the App and its infrastructure from misuse;
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

6. Third-Party Services

Skazy uses third-party services that may process information on our behalf, including:

  • Google Firebase Authentication;
  • Google Cloud Firestore;
  • Firebase Analytics;
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging;
  • Firebase Remote Config;
  • AI and cloud-processing services used to provide learning features;
  • RevenueCat for subscription management;
  • Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases and billing;
  • Apple Speech and Google speech-recognition services, depending on the device.

These providers process information according to their own privacy terms and our agreements with them.

Payments are processed by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

7. Notifications

If you grant notification permission, Skazy may send reminders and service notifications.

A device notification token may be stored together with an anonymous user identifier, app language, and relevant notification settings.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

8. Data Sharing

We may share information:

  • with service providers required to operate the App;
  • with AI providers required to process learning requests;
  • with analytics and cloud-infrastructure providers;
  • with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat for purchases and subscriptions;
  • when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
  • when necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the App;
  • as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of business assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information.

9. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide the App and maintain user progress;
  • support active subscriptions;
  • meet legal, accounting, and security requirements;
  • prevent fraud and abuse;
  • resolve disputes.

Retention periods may differ depending on the category of information and the provider processing it.

When an account and its associated data are deleted, some limited records may remain where retention is required by law, necessary for security, or maintained by Apple or Google as part of purchase records.

10. Data Deletion

Users can request deletion of their Skazy data by using the account or data-deletion option available in the App, where provided, or by contacting: [email protected]

A deletion request should identify the device or anonymous account sufficiently for us to locate the applicable data. We may need to verify the request before processing it.

Deleting Skazy data does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must be managed separately through the user’s Apple or Google account.

11. User Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • request access to personal information;
  • request correction or deletion;
  • request a copy of your information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority;
  • exercise applicable privacy rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA.

We may request reasonable information to verify and process the request.

12. International Data Transfers

Skazy is operated by a company based in the United States and uses service providers that may process information in different countries.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections and other mechanisms recognized by applicable law.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Children’s Privacy

Skazy is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Parents or legal guardians may contact [email protected] regarding a child’s information.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, our providers, or legal requirements change.

The updated policy will include a revised “Last updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice in the App or through another appropriate channel.
